The High Plains RC&D partners with Gifts in Kind International to provide goods to sponsors through the RC&D’s Great Gifts Program. Gifts in Kind International is the world’s leading non-profit charity in product philanthropy. It partners with business and non-profits to provide products and services to communities around the world. For more information on Gifts in Kind International go to http://www.giftsinkind.org Through Gifts in Kind Retail Donation Program, the RC&D partners with local businesses like Office Depot, Talbot’s, Disney Stores, and Bed, Bath and Beyond to receive new product donations. The RC&D distributes these products to it’s Great Gifts Program Sponsors. Since 2004, the RC&D has received and distributed almost $140,000 worth of goods to our Great Gifts program sponsors in the 15 county area through the Gifts in Kind Retail Donation Program. Additionally, it has distributed over 1600 Dell Printers worth $237,000 to schools and non-profit organizations through the Dell Printer Program. These printers are free to eligible schools and non-profit organizations. This year in 2007, the RC&D participated in Gifts in Kind International Mattress Donation Program. Almost $130,000 worth of mattresses was distributed to non-profit organization to service their clients. Other products are available by the carton, pallet or truckload.
